Our first tasks created on

Google Docs

We designed tasks for our students to work collaboratively on Google docs. Here are our productions!

"To use the new technology or not to use it.

That is the question."

In our first meeting, we discussed the advantages and challenges of using computers and the internet in our classes.

 Read our conclusions here

We also analysed the characteristics of 21st-century students, got an insight into their needs and reflected on what is expected of us educators in the 21st-century.

We all concluded that technology plays an important role in the development of certain skills required for life at present and in the future and we agreed to start working towards incorporating this technology into our classes.

We started by analysing how we use digital resources, especially Google apps, and we shared the information here.

Welcome to this blog called

 "Taking a Step Forward 2017"!

This blog is designed to showcase and share the results of the efforts of a group of EFL teachers trying to develop strategies to find and access high quality, stimulating, and pedagogically sound digital resources to use in teaching and learning.

While working towards continuous professional development, we will be:
  • reflecting on the media literacies required for 21st-century learning
  • developing a practical overview of the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to facilitate digital media
  • visiting a broad spectrum of web resources related to digital media
  • investigating the opportunities for students to access, create and share digital media
  • applying our new knowledge to design classroom activities to be used with our students
