My CPD Project :Pat
Here´s my humble contribution to this blog. I´m planning to use it with my First Certificate group as a general revision to close the year.

My CPD Project: Marina
This is my last outcome. I have prepared a Lesson presenting Simple Present to my Kids 2 students.

Andy's CPD Project
This is my last project. I've learnt a lot! Thanks Gabi for being so patient and generous. You are a great teacher! I loved each one of your classes.
Practice of vocabulary and grammar
present simple and routines
Warm-up
- I’m going to take my students to the school’s multimedia room where there are not only computers but also an overhead projector.
- I’m going to ask my students to follow a link which will be projected on the board but before I am going to use Bitly so as to make the URL shorter.
- The link will open a voki
- The voki will ask them what activities they like doing at the weekend and what their routines are during weekdays
Presentation
- I’ll send a link to their emails. They will watch a google presentation about a girl called Anna who lives in the outskirts of Australia . Task for watching and listening: Is Anna’s daily routine the same as yours?
Practice
- I’ll show them a picture of Anna and the students will have to write sentences about Anna using the present simple tense. They’ll write the sentences on the padlet I wrote the students’ answers about their daily routines.
Production
- In pairs, students will create a cartoon about Anna’s daily routine using StoryboardThat. I’ll provide my students with the cartoon already designed, they will only have to choose a character for Anna and write in the speech bubble. I’ll also ask them to include a narrator so as to make them practice the present simple tense in the 3rd person.

My Voicethread by Marisa
I used Voicethread with my Adults 4 class. They were dealing with a topic related to the cinema and its history so I asked them to listen while watching the slides. They did it in groups just seeing part of it and then, in pairs, they told each other what they had been informed about. Later, they watched the whole presentation and talked about their favourite films and directors. They interviewed each other imagining they had lived in different periods of the history of the cinema. Finally, they wrote a letter to a friend inviting them to see a film and stating the reason for their choice.
My padlet - Festivals
I used Padlet with my teens 2 class. They dealt with celebrations in the coursebook so I thought that it would be a good idea for them to search for informaton about other celebrations and festivals around the world and share what they had found with the rest of the class.

I´m Marisa and this is my Voki.
I would use my Voki to practise the Past simple tense in my Teens 2 class. I would use it after teaching and practising the tense in a more controlled way. With the imput of the image and the audio they are invited to create a story imagining what the girl could have done while on holiday. This would be a creative stage in which they would show not only grammar, but also vocabulary related to the topic. They could do it orally in pairs and later share what they have created with the whole class.

They already know the story and its characters because they are in their Student's Books In November the fourth formers are going to role-play the book's story and I am going to invite their parents to watch them. I think that it would be a good idea to showcase their productions in the Auditorium of the school where the mini concert is going to take place.

They might even retell the story using the third person singular. Later they might talk about the pictures, describing them and comparing them with their personal experiences. "Mary's Dream Job" by Marina (using Storyboard That)
"Storyboard That" is a fantastic digital tool to create stories. I've prepared a simple story to revise the new structure "I want to..." and to consolidate past vocabulary. This is my outcome, but I'm sure my students will be more creative when writing their own dialogues and when choosing their characters and scenes. They'll feel very motivated to use this tool!

This is a short comic strip I've created on Storyboardthat to work with the structures of giving suggestions and accepting and declining them. I chose a very simple situation in which two friends meet at a fast food bar and have to decide what to eat and later on what film they want to see. Afterwards, students will have to continue and finish this strip so that the characters that interact have to suggest, agree and disagree as well. Here it goes!

I've created this Storyboard in order to work with my Adol 5 students. As they are between 13 and 15 years old, they will probably find it appealing to work with characters they feel identified with. The intention of this storyboard is to present language functions such as invitations, offers and refusals, in an original way so that they are able to remember them, and feel motivated to design their own storyboards.
